Beads, Basenjis, & BunniesMarch 26, 2007 The title sort of says it all... | |

| Here's a beaded scarf that I finished a couple of weeks ago for my friend Melissa's birthday - namely, another Gilda. (She admired the Gilda I made for myself, so I was hoping she'd like one of her own. She did.) I knew what I wanted to make for her, but I wasn't sure about the colors to use. Inspiration was very near by... | |
| ... and came from the "Save the Date" card for her upcoming wedding. Isn't the artwork great? The bride-to-be did it herself! Look closely and you'll see a Basenji! | |
| Having yarn left over from the Palette Sweater is nice. Since there are 30 colors I always have whatever color I need on hand - and sometimes I use the yarn as sort of fibery "paint chips" for trying out new color combinations before I buy yarn. Recently I finished a project from these four colors, but I need to ask my pregnant sister two questions: | |
| 1. Can you please try your hardest to make the baby a girl? 2. You don't want these to go to waste, do you?? |
|
| These are another pair of booties from the book 50 Baby Bootees to Knit by Zoe Mellor. | |
| The best part of these booties has to be the picot edging around the sole. It makes them look like little cakes. | |
| Oh, all right. |
