Humpday HighjinksJuly 12, 2006 I'm working on something really BIG and FUN for Friday, so for now I give you the second installment of the iPod game, and a bit of knitting. |

Okay. Most people thought that the last What's on Staci's iPod game was too hard, even with the clues. So I'm pratically handing this one to you. Soooo easy. Put your lyrics and lipreading skills to the test. However, I did try to distract you a bit by blaring Judge Alex in the background. Let me know if you think you've got it this time. Click here for the little movie. I'm such a dork. |
| Now that my sister has received this as a birthday present, I can show it off. This is Starsky, a free pattern from knitty.com, knit with KnitPicks Sierra. I finished it just in time for her birthday. Good thing she lives in Alaska, cuz this baby is HEAVY. Knitters who would like to know the details of this sweater can read more on my Knitting page. |
|
| Here's a detail of the banana leaf pattern. | |
| Here's something else I finished this week, but I can't show you any more than this, since it's on hold to be given as a gift. I can tell you, however, that it's really really super cute and stylish and lovely. I'd be happy to let you know the pattern (and/or see the whole photo), but you'll have to ask me via email. |

Right now, I'm working on knitting up this Noni bag...these bags are so cute. For you non-knitters, this bag is knit normally, then "felted" in the washing machine, which is also called "shrinking" when it is done unintentionally. |
| Since this is a felted (shrunken) thing, it is HUGE before it is washed. So far I've finished the bottom of the bag, which appears to be as stripey as my website. | |
| I'll leave you with a dogpile picture. This house is infested with Basenjis. Gotta get the exterminator out here. They're taking over. Check out the curly tongue on Gus. |
|
| Whoops, I'm not quite done yet. One of the top search phrases that brings people to this website is "women's feet". How disappointed they must be when they see that I only have pictures of handknit socks. Here's a treat for them, taken during my recent trip to Mexico. Hey, feet people. Consider this an early Christmas present. |
