On the needles - Master Knitting Level 2. Level 1 has been mailed off to be evaluated, so I'm starting right in with the next one. These swatches are sort of half-swatches, because they will be used to demonstrate my skills at seaming. Yes - I'm paying someone to evaluate my least favorite thing in knitting. But it's good. Getting these swatches right will mean that I need to research the correct way to seam odd things - like reverse stockinette and "vertical (selvedge) to horizontal (bind off)" seams (I could give you more examples, but I think you probably get the idea). These swatches all need blocking before I can dive in with the superfun seaming! |

The other thing on my needles - this sock. This sock is VA. NIL. LA. Boring. So boring, in fact, that I have evidence of this same pair of socks in progress back in July with the Yarn Harlot. I just need to finish them. Finish them so I can move on to socks that are a little more interesting to knit. |

Gus' nap in the planter must have given Lou an idea. Here is is, in the same corner, resting inside the toy box. This can't be comfortable. He's on top of chew bones and sharp hooves and other things that are not soft. I feel the need to let you know...these dogs have beds. Special dog beds. And they are allowed on any of the soft furniture in the house. They choose to sleep in these odd places. |
