The Louis and Abraham ShowFebruary 9, 2007 By popular demand, I bring you Lou and Abe. The requests have been heard. I swear, I wasn't intentionally keeping them from verypink! Quick explanation - The Dog Formerly Known as Ace is now Abe. It's a long story, but we found out through Basenji Rescue that it was important to change his name, so we could start fresh with a new life for him. Another note - Abe is still officially a foster, no matter how many of you tell me that we ought to keep him. :) |

| After breakfast, after their walk, nap time in the sun. | |
| It's so hard to get a good photo of a black dog's face. Here's Abe, looking very content. | |
| Lou curls up into the tiniest little ball. | |
| I don't know how many times I can say it...these two do everything together, all day long. | |
| Since there are two other dogs in the house... Ike had his teeth cleaned yesterday, which involves anesthesia and half the day at the vet. Once I brought him home, Gus protected him from the rambunctious 3-year-olds. Poor Ike...he is half-sedated and confused, and I think his mouth hurts a little. Gus is a good friend. |
|
| A pre-dinner game of Let's Pretend to Kill Each Other. Abe really didn't know how to play when we first brought him home. Lou has been a good teacher. |
|
| Moving in unison, as usual. | |
| After their dinner and after their evening walk, another game of Kill Each Other. Other Basenji people describe their dogs' games as the "B-500", meaning a race track around the house. These guys wrestle instead. |
|
| Finally it's time to rest up... | |
| So that they can have another fun day tomorrow. |
