Hark, the Mohair Angels SingDecember 20, 2006 Today I'm doing the "Knitting for Myself Dance". There is a dance, you know. And a theme song. I'm learning that there is life after Christmas knitting. |

| Okay, the Mohair Angels were singing because I finished the Mohair Cardigan. Pattern: La Gran Cardigan in Two Lengths, from the Classic Elite "Luxe" Book Yarn: La Gran by Classic Elite Changes made to pattern: Just one. The pattern called for 13 buttons/buttonholes on this sweater, and I decided to use just 7 Amount of time to knit: less than 2 weeks (size 8 US needles) |

| I actually had to drive out in traffic past the mall area to get to the fabric store where I would have a good selection of buttons. (If you're new to verypink, let me just tell you that the mall, especially at Christmastime, gives me hives.) I found these simple (but not plain), matte buttons. |

| La Gran is touted as the "silky mohair that doesn't shed". I think this statement actually made Laura from Stitch 'n Bitch laugh out loud. It wouldn't be real mohair if it didn't shed, right? This is a nice pattern in a lovely yarn that knit up into a very wearable, fuzzy sweater. |
|
| Chris and I went to the Nutcracker ballet last night, and we really enjoyed it. (I do, however, think that parents of really young children should probably take their kids to the afternoon matinee performance. I'm guessing that two hours is a long time for 3-year-olds. Enough said on that.) Isn't this nutcracker looking a little nervous? |
|
| Here he is, screaming in pain and terror, while Ike tries to remove his beard. |
