New Camera + Rain = Indoor PhotosJune 21, 2006 Just what the title says. The new camera arrived and it's really fun...but (have you heard the news?) Houston is being bombarded with giant raindrops and the city is flooded. Taking the new camera out in a thunderstorm is not an option. So, we have pictures of things that were available to me...dogs and myself. |

So, a Great Dane and a Chihuahua walk into a bar... When Ike heard the punchline, he couldn't stop laughing. |

Then I told Gus, and he couldn't stop laughing either. |
| Rain, rain, go away... | |
| ...because we refuse to step outside to go potty until it does. | |
| The new camera is going to allow for nice pictures where the subject is in focus, but the background is a bit blurry... | |
| ...like this. | |
| Gus sort of smiled for this shot. | |
| Itchy eye and clarity we can't get on the other camera. | |
| The only other live subject to photograph in the house was me. My favorite of the self-portraits is this one, which was an accident. I'm trying to get the camera to pan in a little and I hit the button. Look at the concentration! I tend not to like photos of myself where I'm smiling. |
|
| Okay, I'll half smile. I don't know how to correct the over-flash thing. And I don't know why my nose looks like a proboscis monkey's nose. I tell ya, there are too many problems when I smile in photos. |

One last bit...a little movie for you. This is what Ike does when I cough. No one seems to know why. I hope you like the movie because I kinda hurt my throat with all the fake coughing I had to do to get the shot. Five-second movie, about 11.5 mb. My computer opens it with Quicktime. |
