Over 100,000 ServedSeptember 20, 2006 We hit a milestone here at verypink...the counter ticked 100,000 this week! Okay, it's not a real milestone, because I don't really remember how long the counter has been up there. But a little bit exciting, nonetheless. In honor of the ticker adding another digit to itself, I bring you a photo series that Chris and I have been working on for the last 3 years or so...our Hold-The-Camera-at-Armslength-and-Take-a-Photo-of-the-Two-of-Us Series. Plus a few photos that aren't really part of the series. |

We didn't take this ourselves, but I can do whatever I want. Summer 2004, inside the London Eye. |

New Years Day, 2005 This was taken after Chris jumped into the North Sea with all of the other crazy people. It was COLD outside. |

Again, we didn't take this one. Chris' arms aren't that long. May 2005 On our trip to Saudi Arabia. Snort. (Yes, that's the Eiffel Tower in the background.) |

June 2005 In a gondola in Venice. Tired of that hat yet? It was that hat that protected my pasty-white skin while Chris got darker and darker. |

Christmas 2005 At Chris' parents house in Illinois, right before Chris' 20-year high school reunion party. Zoiks, harsh flash on white skin is never good. |

Spring 2006 It ain't pretty, but we're at an Astro's home game, sweating our asses off, all decked out in our Cardinal's caps. |
| And a couple of photos from today, September 20, 2006... The temperature outside is actually COOLER than the indoor temperature this morning. Woweeeee! I wanted to open up the house while it's still cool, but these low, second-floor windows are a doggie hazard. So I found this bit of shelving to keep the Basenjis from pushing out the screen and falling through the window. Unfortunately, the new addition to the living room created so much excitement and spazziness that I had to remove it and close the window to just a couple of inches. They're still sitting there, noses glued to the screen, making sure not to miss any scent that might float by outside. | |
| A bit of knitting... These baby bibs are from the One Skein book. I made them for our family veterinarian who is about to have a baby girl. It's a good-sized gift for her...we adore her, but we're not really close enough to her to warrant a whole baby sweater or something. It was a fun knit with short rows and i-cord. Made from Rowan Handknit Cotton. Pictured here with the gift bag and tissue paper, just because it's all so cute together. |
